Ball leads the way at Global Aerosol & Dispensing Forum
February 19, 2025
On Jan. 28-29th, Ball showcased its innovative packaging solutions and led discussions on enhancing sustainability through packaging at the Global Aerosol & Dispensing Forum (ADF) during Paris Packaging Week 2025.
ADF Highlights
The biggest aerosol packaging event in the world, ADF provided a fantastic opportunity for Ball to engage with customers and partners, showcase its product offerings, discuss ways to enhance sustainability in packaging and celebrate the recognition received for its innovative solutions alongside customers and partners.
One of the highlights of this year’s event for Ball was earning a prestigious ADF Sustainable Innovation award for its innovative 150ml lightweight aluminum aerosol can, developed in partnership with Henkel for the 'Fa' body care brand.
Winning the ADF Sustainable Innovation Award for the ReAl Gen 2 Fa Can 150ml with Ball Corporation was a proud moment. Representing the entire Fa team and receiving recognition for our hard work in this development was truly rewarding. Equally memorable was sharing the stage with my fellow panelists in the discussion on 'Empowering Consumers and Advancing Aerosol Recycling Through Industry Collaboration.'
Additionally, MEADOW KAPSUL™ technology powered by Meadow and Ball received a Certificate for Excellence in the “Concept of the Year” Category at ADF's Innovation Awards for its revolutionary product, which is redefining sustainable packaging within a circular economy. Ball recently announced a partnership with Meadow to take the fully recyclable aluminum can to new categories worldwide. Another highlight was the ongoing integration of Alucan, as well as the introduction of our packaging solutions to customers and partners collectively under the Ball brand.
ADF was very special to us. Seeing our partnership with Ball materialize was definitely a milestone. Moreover, a key moment during the show was witnessing the engagement from the Ball Sales Reps and PR team in promoting the MEADOW KAPSUL™ technology. It was very impressive to see how they applied their HPC expertise to the aluminum can and how we are becoming a strong team.
Shaping a dialogue on advancing sustainability through packaging
Jay Billings, SVP, President Growth Ventures, moderated a panel titled “Revolutionizing Reuse and Refill: Building a Circular Packaging Ecosystem.” During the discussion on sustainable packaging, he was joined by panelists Victor Ljungberg, co-founder and CEO of Meadow, and Victoria Marletta, Vice President of Personal & Home Care (PHC) Commercial at Ball. Marletta represented Boomerang, an alliance with Ball that began in 2023. Boomerang focuses on creating full-circle systems using aluminum bottles, which promotes circularity on campuses while significantly reducing both carbon dioxide emissions and single-use waste. The panel discussion emphasized how innovative aluminum packaging can minimize waste and foster circular economies.
Predrag Ozmo, Director, Sustainability PHC & Growth Ventures at Ball, discussed the development of the UK Aerosol Recycling Initiative (UKARI) during the "Empowering Consumers and Advancing Aerosol Recycling Through Industry Collaboration" panel.
The panelists discussed how collaboration, consumer education, and sustainability can be key to advancing aerosol recycling, as no single company can solve the challenge alone. Clear communication is essential to gaining consumer trust, and sustainability provides a rare opportunity for competitors to come together for a greater cause.

“At Ball, we see our role as more than just a packaging supplier — we are partners in creating solutions. Let’s keep the momentum going and work towards a future where all aerosols are collected, recycled, and returned to the value chain,” says Predrag.
Participating in the ADF offered valuable opportunities to enhance relationships with existing customers and partners, as well as establish connections with potential clients. It also facilitated important discussions centered on promoting sustainability in packaging practices and provided a platform to showcase cutting-edge innovations in packaging technology.
