Let’s make deposit return systems more convenient and readily available. Together, we can reach a recovery target of 90% for all beverage containers globally.
Barriers for investments in material recovery facilities and sorting technology delay progress. Combining product design guidelines and the right tipping fees and material bans can bring the change we need for sorting innovation.
Increasing local recycling efforts reduces imports of virgin raw materials. By increasing recycling efforts and ensuring technologies are able to produce maximum yields and quality, the global footprint for new aluminum production can be drastically lowered.
We want to ensure that recycled content gets used as best it can. This can be supported by creating a standard for recycled content, providing incentives to keep packaging-to-packaging loops closed and by offering tax incentives for recycled materials versus virgin.
